Cynthia Walawander, MA, PMP is currently President and Founder of Woley Analytics, LLC, a company dedicated to establishing and building data and information foundations to drive purposeful business decision-making, and to engage employees by using quantitative data to drive qualitative purpose-filled work experiences.
Previously Cynthia served as Vice President, Operations and was a Co-founder (in 1992) of Cognigen Corporation, a SimulationsPlus company (NASDAQ: SLP). As head of operations, she provided enterprise leadership to the operational and scientific units. She worked with company leaders to build cross-functional processes that encompass strategic excellence, interdisciplinary collaborations, and effective communications; driving the growth of business from the first contract to a $10M business, in large part, by using operational analytics for the various audiences within the organization including leading the due diligence effort supporting the acquisition of Cognigen Corporation by Simulations Plus, Inc in 2014. Cynthia also worked collaboratively with the scientific units in providing clients with responsive, transparent, and high-quality solutions tailored to their drug research and development needs through business development and project management.
Cynthia maintains her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute where she served as Manager and Communication Lead of the Pharmaceutical Community of Practice, participated in the Center for Entrepreneurial (CEL) Core Program, CEL Advanced Program, and served as the CEL Alumni Board Chair. In March 2018, Cynthia attended the Harvard, Women on Boards Workshop. She continues her entrepreneurial growth and development by regularly meeting with a fellowship of women business owners.
In addition, Cynthia volunteers in various capacities with professional and not-for-profit organizations. She served as Treasurer on the Tapestry Charter School Board for 10 years. She enjoys mentoring female business owners and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the West Seneca Central School District Academy Programs.
